Erica and Hunter's Dillon Lake Maternity photos
June of 2026 was hot, the week leading up to Erica and Hunter's maternity photoshoot was rainy and gloomy. Not ideal for beautiful golden hour maternity photos. But the sun showed up just for them this evening and lead to a beautiful date night as the new parents anxiously await their arrival of their baby girl. Dillon Lake state park in Nashport Ohio was the perfect setting for their romantic evening.
A Night Off From The Crazy
In the weeks leading up to their maternity photoshoot, Erica and Hunter's days were crazy. In addition to work schedules and all the details required in planning for your first baby, they were getting their kitchen remodeled! I wanted their night to feel like a date, some time off to just breathe surrounded by the beautiful Dillon state park. A time to focus on their love for each other before everything changes after their sweet baby girl is born. I told them to pretend like they are in their own romance movie and be as lovey-dovey as possible, and they UNDERSTOOD THE ASSIGNMENT! After their maternity photoshoot Erica texted me and said " we had such a wonderful time with you - it truly felt like a date night!"
The Push Present
Hunter gave Erica her " push present" early. A BEAUTIFUL pearl necklace and earring set from my favorite local jeweler Pugh's Diamond Jeweler . When I complimented him on his good taste in jewelry he said " She's going to be a mom, pearls just felt like mom jewelry"
The Perfect End To A Perfect Evening
At the end of the photoshoot, as the golden sun slipped behind the trees, Erica and Hunter decided to shed their shoes and go wading in the lake. Erica remarked that the cool summer evening water felt great on her swollen pregnant feet. I'm so glad that Erica and Hunter had fun. Erica shared with me before the maternity photoshoot that they were nervous getting pictures taken because their wedding photos experience wasn't great. I'm so glad that they had a wonderful experience with me! Now I can't wait to take their newborn pictures when their baby girl is born!
